What we collect

Client information
If you become a client, we handle the bills, site data and documents you share under your engagement contract. This policy covers the website only.

Why we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask, to prepare a proposal.
  • To send you our newsletter, if you have agreed to receive it.
  • To keep the website secure and working.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We process personal data only where the law allows it, for example with your consent, to respond to a request you have made, or to meet a legal obligation. We do not use it to make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only with organisations that help us run the website and reply to you, such as our hosting, email and form or newsletter providers. They may use it only to provide those services to us.

We do not pass your enquiry details to other DLX Africa companies for their sales or marketing unless you ask us to or agree. If we recommend a DLX Africa company on a project, we tell you first. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Transfers outside Botswana

Some of our service providers may process data outside Botswana. Where they do, we take steps to make sure the transfer meets the requirements of Botswana’s Data Protection Act, 2024.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only as long as we need them to reply and to keep a reasonable record of the conversation, and we delete them when they are no longer needed. We keep newsletter details until you unsubscribe.

How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive documents through the website form. We will arrange a secure route when we reply.

Your rights

Under Botswana’s Data Protection Act, 2024 you have rights over your personal data, which include the right to:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy;
  • ask us to correct data that is wrong;
  • ask us to delete data, or to limit how we use it;
  • object to our use of it, and withdraw consent you have given;
  • complain to the Information and Data Protection Commission.

To use any of these rights, contact [Privacy contact email]. We may need to confirm who you are first.

This website is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
