Start where you are. Stay for the results.
Commission an independent audit on its own, bring us in on a project another contractor is delivering, hand us a system you already own, or take the full journey. In every case we are accountable to your business case.
Fees agreed in writing before work starts.
Three stages, but not a package.
EnergyPlus joins the front end of an energy project, from feasibility and procurement to oversight of delivery, with the back end: performance monitoring, asset management and the protection of financial returns.
You do not have to buy it all. A business that begins with an audit often continues into strategy and a multi-year performance contract, but only because each stage proved its worth.
See the three stagesFour ways to start.
An independent audit
Understand your costs, assets and risks before spending anything. No commitment to a project.
Explore auditsA business case for a new investment
Evaluate solar, storage, efficiency and supply options, and get an investment-ready roadmap.
Explore strategyA second opinion on a project under way
We review the business case and oversee delivery of a project another contractor is building.
How we oversee deliveryA system you already own
We take over performance management, even if we did not design the system.

-
01Step one
Conversation
You tell us the decision you face. We say whether it needs an audit, a strategy, performance management or nothing from us yet.
-
02Step two
Scope and price
You receive a written scope, the deliverables and the fee basis before any work starts.
-
03Step three
The work
We work with your team and share findings as they develop, not only at the end.
-
04Step four
Handover
You receive the report, the model and the data behind them. We suggest a next stage only if it is justified.
At every step you can stop, change scope, or take what we have produced to someone else.
Independent, including from our own group.
EnergyPlus is part of DLX Africa, whose companies supply solar, electrical and HVAC equipment. That helps when one of them is the right fit. When it is not, we say so.
These six commitments apply to every engagement. They matter most to investors, property groups and lenders who need confidence that a recommendation is not designed to generate equipment sales.
- We can recommend a competitorWe recommend an alternative supplier or solution whenever it serves your business case better.
- We disclose relationshipsWhere we recommend a DLX Africa company, we tell you about the commercial relationship before you see the recommendation.
- Every bidder meets the same criteriaProposals, ours or anyone else’s, are compared on transparent technical and financial criteria.
- Advice and supply stay separateThe advisory mandate is a separate contract from any equipment supply or installation contract.
- Independent technical verificationPerformance-sensitive projects get independent technical verification.
- No double chargingYou are not charged twice for the same work without clear disclosure.
How we are paid.
Fees are agreed in writing before work starts, and advice is contracted separately from any equipment supply. We do not publish prices because they depend on the number and complexity of your sites.
What we ask of you, and what you can expect.
What we ask of you
- Your last 12 months of electricity bills, where available
- A list of your sites and who runs them
- Time with the people who know how each site operates
- A decision-maker to review the findings with us
What you can expect from us
- A written scope, deliverables and fee before work starts
- Findings shared as they develop
- A report that shows the data and assumptions behind every number
- A straight answer, including “do less” or “not yet”
Common questions
Can I use EnergyPlus without buying anything from a DLX Africa company?
Yes. Our advice stands on its own, and any supply or installation contract is separate. You choose the supplier, and we help you compare the options fairly.
Who installs the system?
Not EnergyPlus. Delivery is by a contractor chosen through an independent tender, and we oversee it. DLX Africa companies can bid where they are a suitable fit, on the same criteria as everyone else.
What if I’m not sure which stage I need?
Start with a conversation or the 12-month bill review. We will tell you which stage fits, and whether you need us at all.
Do you work outside Botswana?
We are based in Botswana and built for the wider African market. If you have sites elsewhere in the region, tell us where and we will say honestly whether we can support them.
How do you handle my data?
We use what you share to do the work you have engaged us for, and we handle it under your engagement contract and our privacy policy.
Start with a conversation, or with your bills.
Tell us the decision you are facing, or send your last 12 months of electricity bills. We will say what we would do and what it would cost to find out.
