Make sure the investment delivers.
We stay involved after installation to establish whether your systems perform as designed and whether the expected financial benefits are being realised.
Works for systems we didn’t design, too.
The white marker on each bar is 100% of forecast.
Commissioning day isn’t the finish line.
A system can pass handover and still miss its business case: a failed inverter string, soiling, a configuration error, a billing mistake, a contractor who doesn’t respond. Nobody notices unless someone is measuring against the forecast.
We do that measuring every month, find the cause of any shortfall and make sure it is fixed.
The monthly cycleWhat we monitor and manage.
Performance monitoring
Generation, consumption and asset data from your inverters, meters and supplier, brought together in one place.
Actual versus forecast
Output and savings compared with the design forecast and the agreed baseline, every month.
Faults and performance loss
We investigate the cause when output drops, not just report that it did.
O&M coordination
Maintenance contractors scheduled, instructed and held to their service levels.
Contractor and warranty management
Claims prepared, escalated and tracked until the fix is verified.
Billing and cost verification
Energy bills checked against metered use and your tariff, where applicable.
The monthly cycle.
-
01Measure
Monitor
We collect generation, consumption, tariff and bill data from your systems and your supplier.
-
02Measure
Detect
We compare actual results with the forecast and the agreed baseline and flag shortfalls.
-
03Understand
Diagnose
We investigate the cause: an equipment fault, soiling, shading, configuration or a billing error.
-
04Fix
Act
We coordinate the O&M contractor, escalate warranty claims and track the fix to completion.
-
05Prove
Verify
We confirm performance is restored and record the value recovered.
Verified results feed the next month’s monitoring. The cycle repeats every month, for as long as the programme runs.
A monthly report that answers one question.
Is the system delivering what the business case promised? The report answers it for each site and for the portfolio, with the evidence behind it.
Owners get the operational view, investors the returns view, and lenders independent evidence of performance and reliability.
- Headline resultActual against forecast and against baseline, for each site and the portfolio.
- Savings and costVerified savings, cost per kWh and billing checks.
- Faults and lossesWhat went wrong, what it cost and the cause.
- Actions and ownersOpen items, who holds them and when they close.
- ReliabilityUptime and outages across the period.
- OutlookMaintenance due, warranty dates and anything to watch.
Why independence from your contractor matters.
An O&M contractor reports on its own activity. We measure whether the system delivers the financial result in your business case, and we answer to you, not to the contractor. That is what lets us hold them to account.
We don’t maintain equipment or sell systems, so we have no reason to explain away a shortfall. If a DLX Africa company is involved in your project, we say so in the report.
Already own a system? We can take over.

01Review
Handover review
We review as-built documents, warranties, O&M agreements and the original design forecast.
-
02Agree
Baseline and forecast
We agree the performance baseline and forecast we will measure against, and fill any monitoring gaps.
-
03Run
Monthly programme
Reporting and intervention begin, with a named owner for every open action.
Is performance management the right place to start?
We establish the baseline and tell you where it stands.
One programme, one report, one standard across all of them.
We measure results against the forecast and the business case.
We provide evidence they can rely on, from a party with nothing to sell.
How we charge
Performance management is a monthly or annual contract, not a one-off report.
Priced by the number of sites and how complex they are.
Offered only against an agreed baseline and measurement method, with external factors and attribution of savings defined in the contract.
Common questions
Do you maintain the equipment?
No. We coordinate and oversee your maintenance contractors rather than replacing them. Being independent of the contractor is what lets us hold them to account.
Can you monitor a system you didn’t design?
Yes. We start with a handover review, agree the baseline and forecast we will measure against, and fill any gaps in monitoring.
What data do you need?
Access to inverter or monitoring platforms and meter data where available, your electricity bills, the original design forecast, and your O&M and warranty documents. If monitoring isn’t in place, we help you specify it.
How is this different from my O&M contract?
An O&M contract covers maintenance activity. We measure whether the system delivers the financial result in the business case, and we are accountable to you for reporting it honestly.
Do you take a share of the savings?
Only if you want that and it can be measured. A performance-linked fee is offered only where the baseline, measurement method, external factors and attribution of savings are defined in the contract.
